Bower House, Bright
Creating a connection between the house and landscape was vital in this project. The landscape design sought to give the house a grounded feeling without taking from its strong lines and striking form. Trees provide focal points from within the building; mass planting creates sweeps of texture in subdued colours. The South West aspect looking to Mount Buffalo is both a focus from within the house and a horticultural challenge. Built on a steep slope, comfortable access around the property was created using raised walkways. Delivered in two stages, we look forward to updating the gallery with a full, thriving garden in due time.
